A delightful aromatic canapé or starter best served with a crisp white wine or cool beer.
You can also serve it with a side salad and on thicker bread slices for a fragrant open sandwich for lunch.
Ingredients:
- 100g white crab meat
- 1 ciabatta bread, cut in slices
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 lime, juiced
- Mint leaves, half thinly chopped and half left to garnish
- 1 avocado, cut in slices
- 1 lime, cut in wedges for garnish
- Tabasco, optional
Method:
- Heat your toaster or oven to 200C, then toast the bread slices until crispy
- Simply toss our delicate sweet white crab with extra virgin olive oil, dijon, lime juice and chopped fresh mint, then spoon on the toasted slices of bread, before topping with a slice of avocado and if desired extra mint leaves
- Plate on a large tray and garnish with lime wedges and mint leaves, before serving with tabasco on the side for those who like an extra kick
