Healthy lemon butter spiced fish fillets

Quick French-Style buttery fish fillets with light spice coating

For a quick and healthy meal that will satisfy the whole family, these baked white fish fillets are a perfect choice. This 20-minute recipe is not only easy to prepare but also allows you to customise the spice level by adjusting the amount of cayenne pepper, making it suitable for both those who enjoy a little kick and those with milder tastes.

Ingredients:

  • 4 white fish fillets
  • 100 butter
  • 6 (4 ounce) fillets cod
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper or paprika if you prefer milder taste
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 200C degrees

2. In a sauce pan, melt the butter to medium heat, then add the garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, cayenne (or paprika) and let cook until you get a tick

3. Arrange fillets in a single layer on a medium baking sheet. Cover with 1/2 the butter mixture, and sprinkle with lemon pepper. Cover with foil.

4. Bake 15minutes in the oven or until the fish is cooked through (it will easily flake with a fork then).

5. Delicately place the fish on serving plates, then pour the remaining sauce over the fish, sprinkle with some parsley and garnish with lemon wedges before serving.

6. Enjoy!
